My good friend Pamela Moore, award winning book artist, and resident of Barcelona, Spain, has recently come to the painfully obvious conclusion that she could also compose the contents of her creations. From a batch of work she recently sent me, I have, with her permission, chosen to post these two small pieces, which to me reflect the same delicacy and deceptively simple depth as her more established book art.

Flow
a narrow
church tower
perfectly
framed
in my window
frames
in its own
arched pane
the horizon
an equal
encounter
of earth
and sky
a tree grows
about
the middle
the heart
its roots
stretch deep
across
the earth
to just under
the spot
where I am sitting
a winding
blue vein
ascends the
stairs
filtering
silently
into
my pen
Tree House
small
twisted
branches
ascend
the trunk
a private
room
walled
in green
a breeze
flutters
song
from leaves
perched
in the cup
of this giant
hand
we are free
